Vickie and Robert Everitt of Barlow and David Alten of Henderson announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Rachelle Alten, to Jason Lynn Buchanan, son of Ms. Jana Buchanan of Paducah and Jay Buchanan of Wickliffe.

Miss Alten is the granddaughter of Norma Baker of Barlow and the late William “Butch” Baker. She is a 2008 graduate of Ballard Memorial sports_high_school and attends West Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Mr. Buchanan is the grandson of Anna Garrison and Charles Hall, both of Wickliffe, and the late Glenda and Danny Buchanan. He is a 2008 graduate of Ballard Memorial sports_high_school and is self-employed with Buchanan Farms.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. May 28 at Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Wickliffe. All friends and relatives are invited.
