Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hudson of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Heartland Worship Youth Center. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Hudson and the former Elizabeth Ann Broyles were married May 12, 1961, by the Rev. Charles Vincent at Reidland Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Hudson retired from Quality Electric Service Inc. of Paducah. She is the daughter of Mrs. Anna Nell Broyles of Paducah and the late Virgil Broyles. He is the son of the late Paul and Virginia Hudson.

They have two children: Tonya Archer of Reidland and Terri Adams of Opelousas, La.; and four grandchildren.
