SYMSONIA — Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Sikes of Symsonia will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple requests no gifts.
Mr. Sikes and the former Catherine Ann Birchmeier were married Feb. 4, 1961, in Royal Oak, Mich.
Mrs. Sikes is a retired office secretary. She is the daughter of Ethel Birchmeier of Royal Oak and the late Herman Birchmeier.
Mr. Sikes, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, is a retired mechanical design engineer for Florence & Hutcheson engineering firm. He is the son of the late James and Allivee Sikes.
They are the parents of Steve Sikes, James Sikes and Michael Sikes, all of Paducah, and Jeff Sikes of Warren, Mich.
They have 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
