LA CENTER — Mr. and Mrs. James Pace Jr. of La Center celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and a cruise.
Mr. Pace and the former Mary Elizabeth Allen were married Dec. 27, 1960, by the Rev. Billy Garland at Bandana Baptist Church. Their attendants were Sally Strickland, sister of the bride, and Tommye Cooper.
Mrs. Pace is a retired schoolteacher. She is the daughter of the late Nancy and John Tell Allen Jr.
Mr. Pace is a lifelong Ballard County farmer. He is the son of the late Elizabeth and James Auvie Pace.
They have four children: James Allen Pace of La Center; Susan Bodell and Sarah Bohn, both of Bandana; and Sonya Wooldridge of Louisville; and nine grandchildren.
