Staphine R. Cooper of Paducah and Johnnie F. Sykes of Decatur, Ill., announce their engagement.
Ms. Cooper is a 1981 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2007 from Mid-Continent University. She is an administrative assistant-specialist II employed by the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in Paducah.
Mr. Sykes is a 1980 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a 1982 graduate of the ITT Technical Institute with an engineering degree in tool design. He is employed as a senior mechanical engineering quality checker/trainer at Caterpillar in Decatur, Ill.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Dec. 24 at Ninth Street Church of Christ in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
