McCracken County's Luke Seed headlined a list of local players who were named to the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State teams.
Seed, a Mustang junior who was also voted the First Region Player of the Year, has shined on the mound and was rewarded with an All-State First Team spot. Following six innings of scoreless pitching in the first round of KHSAA State Tournament last weekend, he has a record of 9-1 with an ERA under 0.70.
Caldwell County's Shane Burns was voted to the All-State Second Team after entering the KHSAA State Tournament as the state leader in ERA at 0.50.
Calloway County first baseman Lofton Pigg was named to the All-State Third Team after finishing seventh in the state in RBIs (44) and 23rd in slugging percentage at .811.
St. Mary's John MacCauley, a signee to Butler, was voted to the Honorable Mention Team.
