PGA Juniors take on Paxton Park

Area golfers got a big chance to shine Saturday when the Kentucky PGA Junior Golf Tour made a stop at the par-72 Paxton Park Golf Course for its fourth Spring Series event.

Paducah's Clayton Turnbo won for boys 17-18 with a 74, followed by Farmington's Nathan Waltmon (78). Benton's Grant Hackney carded an 88 and Murray's Daniel Bowden turned in a 113.

Among girls 16-18. Millie Lawson of Metropolis, Illinois, was tops at 77. Sydney Durrant of Bowling Green was second at 81, followed by Hallie Riley of Calvert City (83). Campbell Knoth of Princeton fired an 87, Delaney Welsh of Murray an 89 and Sydney Phillips of Benton a 98.
