Tuesday morning at Marshall County High School, Kirsten Walker and Rachel Rushing signed with Freed-Hardeman University to continue their track and field activities.
Walker is the daughter of John and Shanda Walker, and is a five-year member of the track and field program at Marshall County. She was the regional runner-up this past year in the shot put and competed at the state meet this past season. She currently ranks second in the region in that event and is looking to return to the state meet this year.
Rushing is also a five-year member of the track and field team. She is the daughter of Richard and Jodi Rushing, and she competes in shot and discus for the Lady Marshals track team. She focuses primarily on discus and looks to continue to improve as she competes at the next level.
