Murray State head volleyball coach David Schwepker has announced the addition of Rachel Holthaus, a middle blocker/ right-side hitter who will be joining Racer volleyball in the fall.
The Winona, Missouri, native is a transfer from Missouri State-West Plains (CC), where she was third in the nation in hitting percentage at .421 this past season.
Holthaus set numerous school and state records in high school, including kills in a single season (615) and kills in the State Championship Match (36), while being named the Big Springs Conference Most Valuable Player all four years.
Joining Holthaus in the 2017 class are Callie Anderton, Becca Fernandez, Katirah Johnson and Kolby McClelland, who committed to the Racers earlier in the fall.
