Lyons big bats alive in All A

Staff report

Lyon 17, Fort Campbell 1 -- At Fort Campbell, the Lyon County duo of Travis Yancy and Max Wadlington threw a gem of a game allowing Fort Campbell only one run while the Lyons offense chewed-up the Bulldogs for 12 hits and 17 runs in a five-inning outing at the Second Region All "A" Tournament.

Wadlington opened the game with a line-drive triple and scampered home on Gabe Board's single. Board scored later on a wild pitch and the third run of the inning crossed the plate on a Bulldog error. That was all the Lyons would need, as they scored in every inning and put the game away with a seven-run fifth.
