Caldwell tunes up for All A run

Staff report

Caldwell 12, University Heights 0 -- At Hopkinsville, Caldwell County, looking for a deep run in the All "A" Classic, showed off its offensive power in a two-hit shutout of University Heights in five innings.

Shane Burns went four innings for the Tigers, striking out six while giving up only one hit. Oliver Parker allowed the other hit in one inning of relief where he posted a strikeout. Burns drove in three runs, as the Tigers scored in each inning.
