CCA falls to Egyptian

Staff report

Baseball

Egyptian 12, CCA 2 -- At Tamms, Illinois, Egyptian took advantage of five Community Christian errors and scored at least one run in every inning in beating the Warriors in five innings.

CCA's pitching duo of Logan Browning and Ben Carter gave up 10 hits while striking out seven but issued eight walks. The combination of walks and errors gave the Pharaohs plenty of baserunners for top hitters Gabe Wolford (2-for-4 2 RBI), Dawson Essex (2-for-2 2 RBI) and Kolton Pitts (2-for-3 4 RBI) to manufacture runs without getting an extra-base hit.
