Murray State senior Jessica Twaddle pounded out 10 hits in 16 at bats last week and was named Ohio Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
The Franklin, Tennessee, native fashioned a career-high 4-for-4 performance against UT Martin. Twaddle hit safely in each game on the week, recording multiple hits in three of them, and also had at least one RBI in each game.
The senior finished the week with an on-base percentage of .647 and a .875 slugging percentage behind a double and a home run. Twaddle also stole a base last week, did not commit an error in 44 chances at first base and did not strike out in 17 plate appearances.
This is Twaddle's third OVC weekly honor of her career and the second by a Racer this season. Mason Robinson was named as the OVC Pitcher of the Week on March 6.
The Racers are 28-13 on the season and 5-4 in conference play.
