TCU too much for Racer baseball

FORT WORTH, Tex. -- Third-ranked Texas Christian used a pair of two-run homers and its strong pitching staff to down Murray State 9-2 Friday night. MSU (15-14) got the lead first as Ryan Perkins hit a sacrifice fly RBI tin the second inning to score Tyler Lawrence, who reached on a walk to lead off the inning. The Horned Frogs (24-5) had a two-run homer in the bottom half of the inning and TCU stayed ahead.

TCU's three-run third made it 5-2, and the Horned Frogs added two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings. TCU had a 10-5 edge in hits with three extra-base hits.

Ryan Dills got the start and took his first loss of the season, allowing five runs in five innings.
