Blue Tornado drop third straight

Staff report

Warren East 9, Tilghman 2 -- At Bowling Green, Paducah Tilghman kept it close with Warren East until the Raiders erupted for six runs in their final two innings. Warren East led 2-0 after the first inning, which forced the Blue Tornado to have to play from behind for the remainder of the game.

Eric Riffe had an RBI triple in the fifth and Mitchell Crouch followed it up with an RBI fielder's choice in the sixth to trim the Tilghman deficit, but Warren East responded with two in the fifth and four in the seventh to put the game away.

Ryan Hawkes was 4-for-4 with four RBIs and a run to lead the Raiders. It's the third straight loss for the Blue Tornado after winning their first eight games of the season.
