JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -- Murray State dropped both games of an Ohio Valley Conference softball doubleheader to first-place Jacksonville State, 7-3 and 10-6, Saturday.

Jacksonville State's Leila Chambers socked a three-run homer in the third inning to erase a 1-0 deficit, as the Gamecocks (25-9, 5-1 OVC) never trailed thereafter in the opener.

MSU's Mason Robinson (17-6) took the loss for Murray State by giving up four earned runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

in Game 2, Murray State's Erika Downey gave the Racers a 3-1 lead with a second-inning home run. MSU (25-12, 2-3) built the lead to 4-1, but JSU's Cadi Oliver put her team on top later in the inning with a three-run home run for a 5-4 advantage. Haven Campbell took the loss for MSU to fall to 8-6 on the year after giving up five runs on four hits over 1 1/3 innings.
