For the second time this season, Campbellsville's Neely Quint and Tori Humphrey were each named the Mid-South Conference Players of the Week.
Both are McCracken County graduates, with Humphrey winning her second player of the week of her career and Quint her sixth.
The Lady Tigers swept their competition last week, winning all six games - two over Union College and four over Shawnee State. Quint picked up three wins in the circle and finished the week with a 2.19 ERA, striking out 10.
To cap off the week, Quint pitched a pair of one-hit shutouts over Shawnee State. In Game 2 of the series vs. the Bears, Quint allowed a leadoff single to start the first inning but kept the Bears off the basepaths the rest of the way, winning 8-0. In the series finale, Quint allowed a two-out hit in the fifth inning before shutting the Bears down in a 10-0 victory.
For Humphrey, she was once again dominant at the plate. She hit two home runs and had seven RBI in her six games, while recording a slugging percentage of 1.000.
In the first game of the Lady Tigers' four-game set at Shawnee State, Humphrey went 3-for-4 with two homers and four RBI. She also recorded three of her eight total runs last week in CU's 11-2 win. Humphrey is currently on a seven-game win streak and leads CU with five home runs is second with 17 RBI.
Joining fellow McCracken grads Audrey Dodd and Jacqueline Roof, who also have been named Mid-South Conference Players of the Week this year, the Lady Mustangs have had an alum receive that honor four out of six weeks this season.
