The valedictorian of the 2016 graduating class at St. Mary High School is Catherine O'Rourke, daughter of James and Lisa O'Rourke.
Catherine was a 2015 Governor's Scholar. She has been involved with orchestra for six years, serving as first chair viola for the past two years. She has served as The Spanish Club treasurer and on Student Senate. Catherine spent much of her time at the Four Rivers Sport Horse Center where she participated on the Equestrian Team. She is attending Murray State University in the fall, majoring in chemistry/pre-pharmacy.
The salutatorian is Nathan Hodges, son of Christopher and Jennifer Hodges.
Nathan attended the Commonwealth Honors Academy at Murray State University. He was involved in the Spanish Club and Student Senate at St. Mary. Nathan is also an Eagle Scout. He will be an electrical engineering major at the University of Louisville in the fall.
