William Irvin “Bubble Up” Banks Jr., 79, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the McCracken County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Banks was of the Baptist faith and formerly worked for Yancy’s Pavement. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War.
Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his parents, William Irvin Banks Sr. and Rosa Quarles Banks; and one sister, Louise Banks Rouse.
He is survived by one daughter, Larese (Dwayne) Duncan of Louisville, Ky.; one granddaughter, Ceryse Erica Duncan of Louisville, Ky.; and one grandson, Dwayne Eric Duncan Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with the Reverend James H. Vinson officiating.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, February 28, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
