William Irvin Banks Jr., 79, of Paducah died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at McCracken County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He formerly worked for Yancy’s Pavement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one daughter, LaRese George Duncan of Louisville; one granddaughter, Ceryse Erica Duncan of Louisville; and one grandson, Dwayne Eric Duncan Jr. of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by one sister. His parents were William Irving Banks Sr. and Rosa Quarles Banks.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Vinson officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
