Robert and Mary Grace Wendel of Tucson, Ariz., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Anne Wendel, to Brett Michael Wolf, son of Mark and Jane Wolf of Paducah.

Miss Wendel is the granddaughter of the late Earl and Helen Horley, and the late Theodore and Margaret Wendel. She is a 2004 graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, a 2008 graduate of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs, and a 2010 graduate of the Monterey (Calif.) Institute of International Studies with a master’s degree in international environmental policy. She is employed as an energy consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Wolf is the grandson of Beverly Hojnacki of Littleton, Colo., and the late Carl Hojnacki, and Gary and Sherrie Wolf of Aurora, Colo., and the late Karen Wolf. He is a 2005 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Modesto, Calif., and a 2009 graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan with a bachelor’s degree in life science. He is an alumnus of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and is employed by Apple Computers in Alexandria, Va.

Wedding vows will be exchanged Oct. 20 at Newman Center Catholic Church in Tucson.
