Kenneth and Donna Hickman of Mayfield and Terry and Christine Thompson of Kevil announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Gail Thompson, to Ryan Lynn Shepherd, son of Mike and Diane Shepherd of West Paducah.

Miss Thompson is the granddaughter of the late Merle and Patsy LeFevre, and the late James and Neva Thompson. She is a 2007 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School and a 2010 graduate of the West Kentucky Community & Technical College surgical technology program. She is employed by Western Baptist Hospital and the Olive Garden.

Mr. Shepherd is the grandson of Novella Wring of Paducah and the late Gilliam Wring, and the late James and Anna Shepherd. He is a 2003 graduate of Heath High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2010 from Murray State University. He is employed by Medical Accounts Receivables Systems and the Olive Garden.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. July 9 at Heartland Worship Center in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited.
