BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moore of Benton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Cottage in Louisville. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Moore and the former Janet Sue Stampfli were married Sept. 15, 1962, by the Rev. Eugene Dewig at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Ind. Their attendants were Bev Stampfli, sister of the bride, and Mel Singer.

Mrs. Moore is a retired middle school teacher. She is the daughter of the late Carl and Lena Belle Stampfli.

Mr. Moore is the retired owner of Lumenation, Inc., lighting agency. He is the son of Ruth Moore of Evansville, Ind., and the late Malcolm Moore.

They have four children: Lorraine Moore-Snyder, Andrew Moore, Jessica Schorek and Joshua Moore, all of Louisville; and six grandchildren.
