Your summer may already be full of plans, including sports camps, family vacation or just plain relaxing, but if not, take a look at this list for fun area summer events.

Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center

Interested in trying your hand at acting? Check out the Carson Center’s offerings this summer. The Carson Center will host the Broadway Workshop, New York’s Best Training for Young Actors, on June 4-8 for ages 9-18.

Summer musical theatre camp returns, featuring Missoula Children’s Theatre’s “Hansel and Gretel.”

Auditions will be held July 9, with camp running July 9-13 with two public performances 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on July 13.

McCracken County Library

Don’t forget McCracken County Library’s annual summer programming. This summer’s program, Dream Big, kicks off at 10 a.m. June 5 with Dome Theater shows every 30 minutes through the day, allowing you to learn more about our solar system.

The performance schedule concludes July 17-18 with Animal Tails EdZOOcation, where you can meet members of nature’s nightlife.

Paducah Parks Services

Does the thought of being stuck inside this summer make your skin crawl? Then sign up for one of the Paducah Parks Services summer camps.

The Playground Activity Camp runs June 11-July 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for grades K-5 and is free. Kids Klub is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4-Aug. 3 and costs $75.

A special needs camp and sports camp also are available. Have an adult contact the parks department at 444-8508 for more information.

Challenger Learning Center

When you look up at the stars at night, do you ever want to know more about them?

The Challenger Learning Center on the campus of West Kentucky Community & Technical College offers a variety of summer camps including Cosmic Constellations and Expedition: Moon.
