HARDIN — Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Brown of Hardin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Brewers United Methodist Church in Brewers.

All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Brown and the former Shirley Jean Mason were married Feb. 2, 1963, by the Rev. Bill Coxs in Hardin. Their attendants were Ed Miler and Mrs. Bill Coxs.

Mrs. Brown is the daughter of the late Robert A. “Bob” and Ruby N. Mason.

Mr. Brown is the son of the late Harry and Virginia R. Brown. He retired from Caterpillar in Peoria, Ill.

They have two children: Tonya M. Murphy of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Troy W. Brown of Farmington, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
