Eddie and Mary Seay of Mayfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Seay, to Joshua Keith Burks, son of Keith ahd Rhonda Burks of Murray.

Miss Seay is the granddaughter of Eva Stanton of Metropolis, Ill., and the late Lawrence Stanton, and Gardner Seay of Mayfield and the late Roberta Seay. She is a 2006 graduate of Mayfield High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2009 from Murray State University. She is employed as a first grade teacher for the Mayfield Board of Education.

Mr. Burks is the grandson of Lathan and Bonnie Sowell of Hickory Withe, Tenn., and the late Lynwood and Jane Burks. He is a 2004 graduate of Calloway County High School in Murray and earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering technology from Murray State University in 2009. He is employed by A&K Construction in Paducah.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6:30 p.m. July 16 at Mayfield First United Methodist Church.
