MAYFIELD — Ruth Whitlow Blackburn, 94, of Mayfield died at 8:20 p.m. Friday at her son’s home in Birmingham, Ala.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. She, along with her husband, owned and operated the Blackburn Vending Company.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Thomas Blackburn of Louisville and Joseph Whitlow Blackburn of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Ralph Whitlow of Sedalia and Billy Whitlow of Paris, Tenn.; one sister, Donna Creighton of Mayfield; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Blackburn. Her parents were Cletus and Lane Lassiter Whitlow.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Rev. Ray Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.

Friends may call after noon Friday at the funeral home.
