SEBREE — Roger Thomas Vance Sr., 68, of Sebree, Kentucky, formerly of Paducah, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 15, 2012.

He attended both St. Michael Catholic Church in Sebree and Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson. He was a retired electrician with Rio Tinto Alcan and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jan Vance; three daughters, Connie E. Stiltner of Henderson, Kentucky, Heather Bouvy of Sebree, Kentucky, and Nicole Orrick of Norris City, Illinois; one son, Roger Thomas Vance Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Nan Shulman of Nashville, Tennessee; three brothers, Sidney Jerry Vance of Montevallo, Alabama, Phillip Vance of Roswell, Georgia, and Mark Vance of Paducah; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Jackson and Mary Louise O’Nan Vance.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson, Kentucky. Father Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, 604 Center Street, Henderson, Kentucky 42420, where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
