Roderick T. Dittmer, 82, of Paducah died at 10:03 p.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.

He was a retired city planner.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Dittmer; two sons, Robert Dittmer of Cedarburg, Wis., and Rian Dittmer of Dusseldorf, Germany; two daughters, Kathleen Dittmer of Santa Fe, N.M., and Kristine Nathanson of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Christine Steege of Fort Myers, Fla.; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elta Mae Dittmer. A family memorial service is planned.
