Robyn Lynn Spears of California and formerly of Lone Oak, Ky., died Thursday, September 13, 2012, at her parents’ home in Lone Oak.
Robyn was born in Paducah, Ky., on October 7, 1958. She grew up in Lone Oak and joined Lone Oak Baptist Church at a young age. Robyn was born with boundless energy and a determination to do things her way. She traveled the world fighting for people and causes that were important to her. Robyn fought a long battle with cancer that did not stop her from continuing to live life to the fullest.
Survivors include one daughter, Aimee Few, and two grandchildren, Jamie Rose and Forest Michael, all of California; husband and caregiver, Chris Lingan; parents, Bill and Delores Spears, Lone Oak, Ky.; one sister, Marlie (Richard) Byrd, Lone Oak, Ky.; one brother, Bruce (Amy) Spears, New York, N.Y.; four nephews, Jessie Byrd, Josh Byrd, Brian Spears and Eric Spears; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Sunday until service time of 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
