BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor of Benton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Benton. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Taylor and the former Brenda Daugherty were married Dec. 24, 1961, by the Rev. John Redden at First Baptist Church in Clinton. Their attendants were Marie Jackson and James Taylor.

Mrs. Taylor is retired from Collier Funeral Home. She is the daughter of Virginia Daugherty of Clinton and the late Robert Daugherty.

Mr. Taylor is the retired former owner of Collier Funeral Home. He is the son of the late Marvin and Doreen Taylor.

They have two children: Debbie Simpson of Carterville, Ill., and Barry Taylor of Benton; and two grandchildren.
