BROOKPORT, Ill. — The Rev. Tony Wayne Harris, age 80, of Brookport, Ill., passed away at 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Brookport Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Craig and the Rev. David Siere officiating. Burial will follow at the Harris Family Cemetery in Pope County, Illinois.

Masonic services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Brookport Funeral Home.

Rev. Tony Wayne was a minister for over 30 years in Southern Illinois, a member of Bay City Masonic Lodge 771 for over 50 years, and a longtime farmer in the Southern Illinois and Pope County regions.

Rev. Tony Wayne is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Doris Evelyn Harris of Brookport; one son, Bradley Harris and his wife Kathadale of Pope County, Ill.; two daughters, Marla Wilson and husband Dewey of Speedwell, Tenn., and Tammy Harris of Paducah, Ky.; one grandson; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and two sisters, Deanna Butler of Abilene, Texas, and Opal Grimes of Columbus, Ohio; and one special 2nd cousin, Randy Harris; as well as several nieces, nephews and other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony A. and Gladys Helen (Neely) Harris.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Brookport Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Goines, Randy Harris, Tom Saunders, Art Owens, Tom Burnham and Bradley Harris Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Ronald Blanchard and Ronnie Vasseur.
