MURRAY — Services for the Rev. Buron Lewis Richerson, 87, of Murray will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home. The Rev. Kerry Lambert and Eugene Waggoner will officiate. Burial will be in Sinking Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Richerson died at 7:22 a.m. Monday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Richerson was a retired Baptist minister, having served several churches in Calloway, Marshall, Ballard, Perry and Todd counties. He retired in 1987 from Trenton Baptist Church in Todd County with more than 44 years in the ministry. After retiring, he served as interim pastor of several Baptist churches in western Kentucky. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Murray.

He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Hart of Hazel and Pamela Gibbs of Lawrenceburg; one son, Roger Richerson of Lexington; one sister, Robbie Lassiter of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Hogancamp Richerson; one sister; and one brother. His parents were Elmer Lewis and Lovie Elizabeth Rogers Richerson.
