BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edwin Poe of Benton recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Poe and the former Phyllis Darlene Thompson were married Nov. 8, 1951, in Corinth, Miss.

Mrs. Poe is the daughter of the late Luther and Zera Thompson.

Mr. Poe is retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority. He is the son of the late Ervin and Myrtie Poe.

They have three children: Debbie Poe and Marsha Poe Reed, both of Benton, and Dane Poe of Mooresville, Ind.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
