LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Tenn. — Katherine Elizabeth Van Deusen and Norman Patrick Hely were united in marriage Sept. 1, at Grandview on Lookout Mountain. Dr. Robert O. Littlejohn, stepfather of the bride, officiated. Music was provided by Amabile Strings, a quartet from Chattanooga.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert O. Littlejohn of Wake Forest, N.C., and Peter M. Van Deusen of Chattanooga. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Tate of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Van Deusen.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Sueann Wade Hely and Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Hely, all of Paducah. He is the grandson of Mrs. A.B. Fendley of Paducah and the late Mrs. Dorothy Wade and Norman L. Hely.

The bride choose Miss Ashley McLeod of Chattanooga as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Beverage of Washington, D.C.; Dr. Erin Davis of Charlottesville, Va.; Mrs. Lindsey Donhauser of Phoenix, Ariz.; Miss Abby Futrelle of Chattanooga; Miss Mallory Hely of Nashville, Tenn., sister of the groom; and Dr. Brianne Ray of Charlottesville. Miss Mallory Hely and Miss Sarah Van Deusen served as readers. Miss Sydney Tate, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erik Tate of Chattanooga, served as flower girl.

The groom choose Dr. Josh Rubin of Los Angeles as his best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Jon Casey and Joe Goodell, both of Boston; Mike Howard of Califon, N.J.; Jody Smith of St. Louis, Mo.; and Matt Wilkins of Boulder, Colo.

A reception dinner and dance followed.

The bride is an alumna of Baylor School in Chattanooga. She holds bachelor of science, master of science, and doctor of jurisprudence degrees from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the University of Virginia, and Vanderbilt University, respectively. She practices international law with the firm of George C.J. Moore, PA, in West Palm Beach, Fla., and is pursuing a Certificate of Legal Education at the Eugene Dupuch Law School in Nassau, The Bahamas.

The groom is an alumnus of Paducah Tilghman High School. He holds bachelor of arts and doctor of jurisprudence degrees, both from Vanderbilt University. He practices commercial and business litigation with the firm of Page, Mrachek, Fitzgerald, Rose, Konopka, & Dow, PA, in West Palm Beach.

The couple reside in West Palm Beach.
