Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Orlando of Lexington announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Marie Orlando, to John Lane Owens, son of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Lane Owens of Paducah.

Miss Orlando is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Haggard of Lexington, and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Orlando of Lexington. She is a 2005 graduate of Tates Creek High School in Lexington and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology/economics in 2008 and a master of business administration degree in 2010, both from the University of Kentucky. She is employed in research and development at J.M. Smuckers Inc. of Lexington.

Mr. Owens is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Mouser of New Haven, and Dr. Shelton Owens of Fulton and the late Marcie Owens. He is a 2002 graduate of Heath High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2006 and a master of business administration degree in 2010, both from the University of Kentucky. He is an alumnus of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and is an account manager with Computer Services Inc. of Lexington.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at St. Paul’s Church in Lexington.
