Nellie Sue (Howell) Roberts, 82, of Paducah, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Superior Care Home of Paducah.

Mrs. Roberts was retired of 30 years from S.S. Kresge Company and was of the Cumberland Presbyterian Faith.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Cecil C. Roberts of Paducah; one son, Billy Roberts and wife Judy of Paducah; three daughters, Lucinda Smith and husband Chris of Paducah, Vicky Holton and husband Michael of Murray, and Sally Batusic and husband Steve of Paducah; two sisters, Ruth Hall of West Paducah and Margaret Henderson of Paducah; six grandchildren, Christie Kincaid, Christopher Smith, Tory Daughrity, Drew Holton, Allison O’Nan, and Nicole Shelby; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillary H. Howell and Mattie (Turner) Howell Freeland; one grandson, Michael Dane Devine; one granddaughter, Michele Amberly Holton; four sisters; and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Ben Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebower Cemetery of Paducah. Friends may call after Noon Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the funeral home.
