BOAZ — Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Davidson of Boaz will observe their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church Family Life Center. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Davidson and the former Nancy Carroll Whitis were married Feb. 24, 1962, by Jack Brown at Hardmoney Baptist Church in Hardmoney. Their attendants were Bonnie Kortz and Rick Robinson.

Mrs. Davidson is the daughter of the late Alvie and Mary Lou Whitis.

Mr. Davidson retired from Chevron Oil with 35 years of service. He is the son of the late Hovious and Mary Davidson.

They have three children: Sherri Frick, Paul Davidson and Joanna Davidson, all of Hickory; and five grandchildren.
