Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sweatt of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Mr. Sweatt and the former Monna Lou Gage were married Aug. 11, 1962, at Second Baptist Church in Metropolis, Ill. Their attendants were Phyllis Gage and Donald Gage.

Mrs. Sweatt is the retired director of maternal/child care services at Western Baptist Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Ray and Inez Gage.

Mr. Sweatt is retired from Kraft Food Services and Federal Materials. He is the son of the late Walter and Mable Sweatt.

They are the parents of Carla Jetton and Ellen Powless, both of Paducah. They have six grandsons.
