SAN ANTONIO — Elizabeth Katherine “Liz” Owens and Michael David Courtney were united in marriage Sept. 3 at The Little Church of La Villita in San Antonio with John Ford officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David and Julie Owens of San Antonio. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Ann Owens of San Antonio and the late Roy and Katherine Patterson.

The groom is the son of Steve and Susan Courtney of Mayfield, Ky. He is the grandson of Martha Jo Enoch of Mayfield and the late W.L. Enoch, and the Rev. Grandville Courtney of Mayfield and the late Pat Courtney.

The bride chose Miss Jessica Furgerson of San Antonio as her maid of honor.

The groom chose Kaleb Jessee of Garden City, Kan., as his best man.

A reception followed at The Hilton Palacio Del Rio on the River Walk in San Antonio.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio and is pursuing a degree in communications from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of Graves County High School in Mayfield and is pursuing degrees in economics and sociology from Western Kentucky University. He is employed by Best Buy in Bowling Green.

The couple resides in Bowling Green.
