FREDONIA — Michael Shane Travis, 25, of Fredonia died Tuesday in Illinois.

He was a logger.

He is survived by his father, John C. Travis of Fredonia; his mother, Angie Hodges of McEwen, Tenn.; three sisters, Meagan Gipson of Dickson, Tenn., Mya Hodges of McEwen, and Maddie Travis of Fredonia; paternal grandparents, Keith and Brenda Travis of Fredonia; and maternal grandmother, Sandie Kirk of Fordland, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Don Kirk.

Graveside services will be at noon Saturday at Caldwell Springs Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Home in Marion.
