METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. Michael Nourie, age 52, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel in Brookport, Ill. Father Michael Mujule will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Pell Cemetery in Brookport.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Kendra Nourie of Manchester, N.H.; his sisters, Terri (Nourie) Goodnow of Manchester, N.H., Tish Brazell of Metropolis, and Cathy Vinson of Metropolis; his brother, Jason Nourie of Metropolis; his fiancé, Jean Borders, her daughter, April Massie, and her children, Cailen, Kira and Maliah, who knew Michael as Pepere, all of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lettie (Hooker) Nourie.
