Marjorie Gimmel, 87, Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Windsor Hills Nursing Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln R. Gimmel; her parents, Bunis W. and Grace (Summers) Westbrook, and her sister, Sarah Wilkins.

Marjorie enjoyed her family and grandchildren very much.

She will be missed by all. Tell daddy hi from all of us. Together at last in peace.

Marjorie was born at Dukedom, Tenn., September 20, 1925. She met her future husband during WWII while working in St. Louis.

They later moved to Paducah in 1947 where they lived and raised three sons until moving to Oklahoma City in 1994.

Survivors include her sister, Aline Briggs of Chillicothe, Ohio; three sons, Richard D. Gimmel and wife Paula of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Dennis F. Gimmel and wife Julie of Arcadia, Okla.; and Timothy J. Gimmel and wife Lynn of Henderson. Marjorie enjoyed seven grandchildren, Rob, Alicia, Chris, Doug, Stephanie, Matthew, Rachel, and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home in Guthrie, Okla., with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating.

Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service time.

Graveside services will be held in Paducah Monday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at Brooks Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Charles Frazier officiating. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
