MARION — Marilyn “Mickey” Shewmaker, 65, of Marion died Thursday at Lourdes hospital.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Gipson of Calvert City and Greg Gipson of Smithland; one daughter, Rose Gipson of Murray; two brothers, Leon Shewmaker of Gary, Ind., and Eddie Shewmaker of Marion; one sister, Nancy McKinney of Marion; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Denise Gipson; and several brothers; and sisters. Her parents were Marion Arthur and Mary Geneva Shewmaker.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Love Cemetery in Marion. Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
