FANCY FARM — Maria Pendel, 92, of Fancy Farm, died at 5:38 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
She worked as a seamstress at Andover Clothing and retired from Merit Clothing. She was a member of the St. Jerome Catholic Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Lydia Hobbs and Christina Goatley, both of Fancy Farm, and Pamela Harrison of Murray; three sons, Laddie Pendel of St. Charles, Mo., Leopold “Polie” Pendel of Dallas, and Edward Pendel of Fancy Farm; three sisters from Poland; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Pendel; one son, John Pendel; one brother, and one sister. Her parents were Walenty and Anna Juzefczyk Malec.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Darrell Venters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with prayers to be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
