FULTON — Services for Lewis W. Browder of Fulton will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial in Palestine Cemetery.
Mr. Browder died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home.
He was a lifetime member of the former Palestine Methodist Church, where he taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a retired welder for Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Moore Browder; three stepchildren Donald Moore, Janice Bone and Connie Edgin, all of Fulton; two nieces; two nephews; five stepgrandchildren, 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; five great-nephews and four great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Garnett (Woodrow) and Ethel L. “E.L.” Browder.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
