MAYFIELD — Leo Russell Whaley Jr., 63, of Mayfield died Saturday at his home.
He was of Baptist faith and a U.S. Marine veteran, who served two tours in Vietnam.
He is survived by a son, Russell Whaley of Jacksonville, N.C.; a daughter, Dayle McWhorter of Friendswood, Texas; a sister, Alma Marie Vowell of Mayfield; three brothers, Lloyd Whaley of Elk City, Okla., Jack Whaley of Farmington, Mo., and Mark Whaley of Bakersfield, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Ballew Whaley, and three sisters. His parents were Leo Russell and Zelma Mae Nelson Whaley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 26.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
