MURRAY — Kathryn Charlton Langston, 96, of Murray died Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Hazel Baptist Church, the Lydia Sunday school class, and the women’s missionary union. She also worked in various other capacities in the church including being a longtime Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rodrigues of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Janice Baker of Murray; two sisters, Azzilee Kelso of Cummings, Ga. and Betty Cameron of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; one brother, Halton Charlton of McKenzie, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brent Langston; one daughter, Sylvia Marcelle Lassiter; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; five brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Grover and Beatrice Orr Charlton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with the Revs. Brent Lee and Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will start after 5 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013, at the funeral home.
