Karon ‘Shep’ and Wilma Sheppard

Mr. and Mrs. Karon “Shep” Sheppard of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Southland Baptist Temple Activities Center. All friends and relatives are invited.

Mr. Sheppard and the former Wilma Sue Carman were married Nov. 25, 1961, by Frank Young at First Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. Their attendants were Geneva Carman, sister of the bride, and Llaryl Huntley.

Mrs. Sheppard is the office manager for the Pediatric Group, P.S.C., where she has worked more than 34 years. She is the daughter of Ruby Fulton of Paducah and the late Guy Otis Fulton.

Mr. Sheppard is retired from Industrial Floors and Coatings. He is the son of the late Coleman and Meddie Sheppard.

They have two daughters, Beth Cavanah and Jenna Felts, both of Paducah; and two grandchildren.
