MOUND CITY, Ill. — John V. Keistler, 68, of America died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Keistler was a retired painter. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of Cairo Masonic Lodge No. 237 AF&AM and was a Scottish Rite Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Keistler; two sons, John Keistler III of America and Craig Keistler of La Center, Ky.; one brother, Charles Keistler of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Kaela Keistler of Mounds, Kristy Keistler of Ullin, John Keistler IV of Villa Ridge and Gavin Keistler of America; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister. His parents were John V. Keistler Sr. and Juanita Guy Keistler.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery in America.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
